We’re living in a time of great change and discovering how connected all things are. Our actions deeply affect others, and theirs can trigger all kinds of responses from us. We’re awakening to a higher connection and realising that God is everything. The embodiment of this new world is divine service, not for our gain but for the benefit of humanity. Where we operate in God’s kingdom and don’t only look at how we will profit. We consider the whole and how our actions will help or hinder others. This is an exciting time to be alive and to be a part of a global shift in consciousness! We get to help write the new story of humanity, one based on love, cooperation, and service. To live in alignment with God’s ways we must focus on showing empathy, helping others heal, and healing our own wounds.
Empathy
True empathy is not about agreeing with someone, but understanding how they feel. Seeing their perspective without judgement and responding in a way that shows you care. It can be difficult, especially when you disagree with them. But it’s one of the most important things we can do for each other. And the key to creating a more compassionate world.
Heal your wounds
When you disagree with someone, it can cause a strong reaction that makes it difficult for you to help them. Triggers show wounds in your life that need healing. To heal, you need to understand why you’re feeling this way. Take the time you need to face them head-on. Speak them out or write them down, and resolve them. Only then can you start to see the other person’s perspective. We all have a role to play in healing the world. It starts with our own inner work and then extends outwards. You may find that you deal with one trigger, but another one pops up. That’s okay. Just keep working on it. The more you heal, the more you can help others. Different people may trigger different responses for you. Keep dealing with them, showing grace, love, and acceptance to yourself and others.
Serving others wholeheartedly
In the ‘for-profit’ space, the main priority is making money and getting rich. But in God’s kingdom, we create from a place of divine service to make things better for everyone. This means letting go of our attachments to wealth and ownership because we understand that God owns it all and will provide for us! When you shift your focus from ‘me’ to ‘we,’ it changes everything. It’s no longer about what you can get but what you can give. God is our source and will keep providing direction, wisdom, and income as long as we remain devoted. You can safely release any sense of entitlement and ownership, and work in service to God. Serving others wholeheartedly with joy. And because it is for God it doesn’t mean it has to be on a global scale. You can start where you are with the resources you have. It doesn’t matter how big or small, what matters is the intention and focus on service. Some of the most impactful leaders are making progress in their local communities. The best place to start is in your own home with your kids. As you heal your inner wounds and let go of attachments, you become a better role model for them. You can show them how to serve others and live with grace, love, and compassion.
Healing others
As a parent, you strive to do your best for your kids, yet there are things you cannot control and some hurts you cannot stop. But you can give your children the tools they need to heal. You can’t fix everything, but you can help them understand and deal with their emotions. Showing empathy, listening without judgement, and providing a safe space for them to express themselves will help them heal. And as they heal, they will be able to help others too! Think of all the tools you’ve accumulated from your own experiences that can help them. You can also share resources with them, like books, articles, podcasts, or videos that have helped you. Take the time to be present with them, and understand how they feel so that you can equip them with the right tools. The same emphatic heart-centred techniques and tools you use with your children will ripple into all areas of your life so that you can help others to heal as well. Giving them the space and respect to deal with what is coming up for them.
The new world is already here and it’s not as daunting as it may seem. With God’s help, we can all find ways to serve others and make a difference in the world. There are endless possibilities for what we can do to create heaven on earth, and step into the unknown with an open heart!
